Additive Manufacturing Coalition Code of Conduct & Anti-Harassment Policy

The Additive Manufacturing Coalition (“Coalition”) believes our community should be safe for everyone.  We are committed to providing all individuals involved with our Coalition community including, but not limited to, members, attendees, sponsors, speakers, organizers, staff and venue staff involved in Coalition supported activities (“Participants”) a professional, safe and welcoming environment free from discrimination and harassment regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, age, and religion.  This Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy (“Policy”) outlines the Coalition’s expectations for Participant behavior as well as consequences for unacceptable behavior. 
 

Scope

We expect all Participants to abide by this Policy at all times at Coalition meetings and events, Coalition-related social events, our online community, and any remote activities sponsored or supported by the Coalition including telephonic and electronic communications among Participants. Please engage in Coalition activities responsibly and with respect for the right of others to do likewise.  Use of the AM Coalition website, or participation in any Coalition activities constitutes consent to this Code of Conduct. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a professional, safe, and welcoming environment.
 

Expected Behavior

All Participants are expected to:

  • be considerate, respectful, and collaborative;

  • refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior or speech;

  • be respectful and mindful of surroundings and of other Participants; other Participants may have a different level of comfort with respect to language and personal space;

  • be respectful of any other patrons who may be using event spaces where Coalition events are held.
     

Unacceptable Behavior

The behaviors that are considered harassment and that are unacceptable include, but are not limited to:

  • intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct;

  • offensive verbal comments including those related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, age, or religion;

  • use of nudity and/or sexually explicit or violent material;

  • deliberate intimidation, stalking or following of other Participants;

  • violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person or organization;

  • non-consensual or inappropriate physical contact;

  • unwelcome sexual attention including sexualized comments or jokes;

  • inappropriate touching, groping, and unwelcome sexual advances;

  • intentional disruption of Coalition events or meetings;

  • acts in a manner that does or has the potential to damage or harm the Coalition or its reputation;

  • advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
     

Member Information

The Additive Manufacturing Coalition provides its members with a Members Only section on the website, which may include some member contact information, which is to be used solely for the purposes of conducting Coalition business. Coalition members shall treat the member information as confidential and shall not disclose the member information to third parties.  Use of the Additive Manufacturing Coalition Member information for solicitation or third-party purposes is strictly prohibited.
 

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Harassing or otherwise unacceptable behavior from any Participant will not be tolerated.  Anyone asked to cease unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.  If a Participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the Coalition may take any action deemed appropriate, up to and including the individual Participant’s temporary ban from a Coalition activity or a Participant’s permanent expulsion from the Additive Manufacturing Coalition without warning (and without refund in the case of a paid event).


Reporting Guidelines

If you are subject to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subject to unacceptable behavior, or have other compliance concerns regarding this Policy, notify the Additive Manufacturing Coalition Executive Team as soon as possible.  The Coalition will investigate and carry out the appropriate course of action, and will be available to help Participants experiencing unacceptable behavior feel safe for the duration of the meeting or event.

If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify the Coalition Executive Team or Executive Director as soon as possible either in person at an event or by emailing info@addmfgcoalition.org .

The Coalition prohibits retaliation of any kind against individuals who have made good faith reports or complaints of violations of this Policy or other known or suspected illegal or unethical conduct.

 

Privacy Expectations

 

The Additive Manufacturing Coalition respects your privacy.  Personal information related to reported violations of this Policy will be shared only to the extent necessary to investigate and take action on claims, or as required by law.
