Policy Maker Education Efforts
The Additive Manufacturing Coalition is creating a series of zoom forums to educate Members of Congress, their staff, and federal agency officials about the current state of the additive manufacturing sector. Although most Members and staff are familiar with the concept of additive manufacturing, awareness of just how far the technologies have progressed and how many products already contain additive parts is still low.

The coalition is working to raise the overall awareness of the current utilization of additive manufacturing and the potential applications in the future. We are expanding these forums to include thematic series - such as a Workforce Series which will be starting later in the 2nd Quarter of 2021. Some are case studies of existing and future activities at certain sites in the U.S.

We will follow-up on these forums with possible joint sessions with the Congressional Manufacturing Caucus as well as other key legislative and advocacy groups to elevate the level of knowledge of additive manufacturing, its capabilities and current road blocks.
